HOW LOCAL RESORTS STAND TOGETHER IN THE RUN UP TO BEIJING 2022

AN ALLIANCE IS FORMED

One of the most interesting news this season is that a handful of China’s top ski resorts have joined forces and now offer what is called the 2022 SKI PASS. This alliance is in line with the promotion of getting 300 Million people to join ice and snow sports, as proclaimed by the Chinese government upon the announcement of winning the bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympics.

The new normal in Europe and across the US, a collaboration on this scale is a first in China and sends a strong signal that better service is taking a foothold in the famed ski hills of the Middle Kingdom.

The top five resorts from Beijing area, Northeastern China, Shaanxi and Western China are on board and jointly offer a season of snowboarding and skiing at Wanlong, Beidahu, Yabuli, Aoshan and Silk Road for a hot 2022 RMB for early bird purchases.

The Bank of China, a major sponsor of the upcoming 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, provided support for the technical development and marketing of the 2022 Ski Pass and made it available for purchase on various BoC App channels and in house cards. The pass can also be snapped up at either of the resorts.

PARTICIPATION IS KEY

‘Lowering the threshold for participation is a key motivation, and with adding individual bonuses at each different location, individual needs of different customers can be met’ reads an official news post on WeChat upon the launch of the 2020 SKI PASS.

All in all, a new chapter is being written with this undertaking. It’s a winner for everyone, as it is in line with official requirements, strengthens resort relations on a national basis and benefits skiers and snowboarders with easily accessible services.
